How the installation process works

From the first site visit to the final lock test, we keep the steps straightforward so you know what happens next and when. No vague timelines, no surprises on the day of installation.

1

On-site measuring

We come to your place, check the door opening, and note the wall type and any quirks from older builds. Measurements are taken twice so the frame fits without shims or gaps.

2

Fabrication and finish

Your door or screen is built in our Perth workshop with steel or aluminium framing and the mesh weave you picked. Powder-coated finishes are baked on, not brushed, so they hold up in the sun.

3

Installation and lock test

We fit the frame, check the swing and seal, then upgrade the lock if needed. Before we leave, every latch and hinge gets tested so the door operates smoothly and locks solid.

What to have ready before we arrive

A rough idea of the opening size helps, but it is not essential. If you have a preferred finish colour or a lock style in mind, mention it during the quote. For rental properties, let us know if the property manager needs a compliance certificate after installation.

Questions about the process? Talk to us directly.

Every job starts with a conversation. Whether you are a homeowner planning a front door swap or a property manager coordinating upgrades across several rentals, we keep the lines open from the first measure to the final lock test.

We usually reply within one business day. If you need a quick answer about scheduling or site access, a phone call is often the fastest route.

On-site measuring

We come to you with a tape, a level, and a notepad. You get a clear read on what fits, what needs adjusting, and what the finished job will look like before we cut anything.

Quote within days

After the measure, we send a written quote covering materials, finish options, and installation. No vague line items, no surprises on the day.

Installation slot

Fabrication usually takes one to two weeks depending on the frame size and finish. We book your install slot before we start, so you know exactly when the crew arrives.

Aftercare and lock checks

Once the door is in, we test the locks, check the mesh tension, and walk you through basic maintenance. If anything shifts in the first few weeks, give us a call.
